A Winter Terrain at Styer's Wedding | Joe and Cara | Virginia Wedding Photographer

Joe and Cara’s wedding day is one that I will remember forever. Cara and I became close friends in college through our school’s RA Program and late nights doing homework together. I remember when Joe would visit campus from their home state of Pennsylvania – we always tried to fit in a quick photoshoot where we could. When Joe came to visit, it was so easy to see his love for Cara. They’re a match made in heaven, and I’m so grateful I got to witness it. When Cara messaged me asking me to be their wedding photographer, I could have cried. Photographing weddings is extra special when it’s for dear friends.

I made Joe and Cara’s wedding weekend a 2 night trip and took the train from Richmond to Delaware before driving north into Pennsylvania. It was a perfect weekend. The first night, my second shooter and I ordered room service and our rental car even got upgraded because Enterprise found out we were there on business. I’ve never felt more official. 😂 When we woke up Saturday morning, I could hardly sit still I was SO excited to get started photographing Joe and Cara’s special day. I took over 7,000 photos if that give you any insight into how picture perfect their day was.

Joe and Cara got married at Terrain at Styer’s, a beautiful venue located in Glen Mills Pennsylvania. In December, it’s full of Christmas trees and is perfectly intimate and elegant. It feels like you’re living inside a fairytale. One of my favorite parts of Joe and Cara’s day was when their puppies, Nala and Luna, arrived for photos. They’re so cute and energetic, and it was so sweet to have them in a few photos.

After their ceremony, Joe and Cara danced the night away with their closest friends and family before ending the night with a stunning sparkler exit. I can’t believe 2022 weddings have already come to an end. What a perfect way to end this wedding season — celebrating a sweet friend.
